Instructor, Mr Richard Newcombe - 3rd Dan

Richard Newcombe

Richard Newcombe has been teaching Tae Kwon-Do at the Rushall Club (Shelfield School and Pelsall Community Centre)  and also 3 clubs in London since the 1990's. He has taught many British champions, a European  champion and a World Bronze medallist.

He has taught many students to Black belt including one who reached that level aged 8 years.

This aside though, he finds greater pleasure and satisfaction in teaching the students with less natural ability to a greater confidence and standard.

Mr Newcombe is fully insured, C.R.B Police checked and first aid trained.He has appeared on GMTV, CBBC, as well as articles in the national press.

T.A.G.B. Criteria for Instructors

The minimum criteria for TAGB Black belts to become Instructors is as follows:

  • After reaching Black Belt, teach as an assistant Instructor in a school for 6 months
  • Spend a full weekend away on an Instructors course
  • Undergo a Police CRB Check
  • Take a relevant First Aid Course, i.e:- St Johns Ambulance
  • Spend another 6 months as an Assistant Instructor
  • Spend a 2nd weekend away on an advanced Instructors Course and test
